WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE?

One of the questions asked of our firm is "What is the difference between a regular contractor and a design/build remodeling contractor?" In the early 70's, Sears came up with a unique approach to designing and building their new executive tower in Chicago. They put together a design team of Architect, prime contractor (with various subcontractors), Real Estate firm, and financial people to assist in the design (value engineering) and future building of the tower. It was through this effort (input from all involved) that Sears built the Tower on a very tight budget and got the building they wanted. On a much smaller scale; that is what Kirk Development Company does for all of it's clients.
  • There are no surprises in regards to costing and design features.
  • You do not pay for design that you can't afford to build.
  • When the project is complete you have exactly what you wanted for the investment you wanted to make.
  • The project has run smoothly (no surprises).
  • The client is happy (we get repeat business and referrals).

Because we have the ability to design and build your project with continual input on costs, we can analyze your needs, obtain a budget, and design a project within that budget constraint. The team we have is in constant communication from the time the designer starts schematic drawings through to the completion of your project. We, as a team, are concerned throughout the project about quality and budget.

You, the client, receive three major advantages from this process:
