TOM SERTICH

Company President
Tom is a past President and Chairman of the Board for the local chapter of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI). He was Vice President and a member of the NARI board of directors for five years prior to being elected President. Tom is a Certified Graduate Remodeler (CGR) of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), Certified Remodeler (CR) with the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI), and a Certified Aging-In-Place Specialist (CAPS) through the National Home Builders Remodelers Council. He was elected to the Board of Directors of the Sunnyslope Village Alliance, and then a few years later was elected to the Executive Board as Treasurer. He was named in 2008 as one of the “Big 50” remodelors by Remodeling Magazine. In addition to Tom’s remodeling and construction experience, he was previously Vice President of Bank of America with extensive experience in the financial community.

GEORGE KIRK

Design Associate
George is a Certified Graduate Remodeler (CGR) of the National Association of Home Builders, Certified Remodeler (CR) with the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) and a Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS) through the National Home Builders Remodelers Council. He has attended National Home Builders Association and Pacific Builders Conference conventions as a panelist and instructor. George has also participated in judging national remodeling contests. In 1987, George was named as one of the “Big 50” remodelors by Remodeling Magazine.

NATHAN MESS

Designer/Estimator
Nathan has been in the Remodeling business for over 30 years with 12 years owning his own business. Nathan has been with Kirk Development for 12 years and has completed over 140 projects ranging from kitchens, bathrooms, large room additions and structural renovations. Because of his vast construction experience and problem solving skills he understands the Customer’s needs and provides each Customer with a remodel custom tailored for their individual situation. He attends seminars and classes to keep up to date on all aspects of the construction process.

DEVIN KEMPSTER

Designer/Estimator
Devin has been with Kirk Development since 2005 and has lived in the Valley for over 35 years. Devin specializes in kitchens and baths, and is an “out-of-the-box” thinker, bringing a fresh perspective to your remodeling project. Devin regularly attends seminars to keep up to date on the latest products and design ideas in order to be on the cutting edge in both form and function. This product knowledge results in an aesthetically pleasing and updated design for your remodeled space. Devin works with homeowners to create a more livable and better functioning home that is tailored to the individual needs of the family.

BOB BUCHANAN

Field Operations Manager
Bob is responsible for all in progress projects, KOC Superintendents and field personnel. Bob has over 40 years of experience in the construction business with 19 years of owning his remodeling company providing design and construction through completion. With his understanding of both the technical aspects of construction and the personal communication required during the remodel project Bob is respected in the field and understands the client's needs and is there to help with any concerns that might arise during the remodel process.

GARY TOMICH

Sales Manager & Designer/Estimator
Gary has been with the company since 1991. He is a Certified Graduate Remodeler (CGR) of the National Association of Home Builders and a Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS) through the National Home Builders Remodelers Council. Gary started right out of high school as a carpenter helper and worked as a carpenter apprentice before earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Geotechnical Engineering from Arizona State University in 1980. Prior to KDC Gary was the Lead Estimator for a structural framing and remodeling contractor.

DOUG BUTLER

Designer/Estimator & Historic Preservation Specialist
With a background that spans over 25 years in architectural design, real estate development and historic preservation, Douglas originally operated in Ottawa, Canada with the National Capital Commission and Royal LePage luxury properties, and now has relocated to Arizona specializing in new additions and remodeling for Kirk Development. Douglas offers highly attentive client services with a strong emphasis on design and detail. With extensive experience in historic preservation, Douglas also consults on projects with the City of Phoenix Historic Preservation Office, and the Arizona Preservation Foundation as well as providing commission reports for both the City and State. Notable projects include Lescher & Mahoney designed historic residential homes, along with landmark restoration work on the ASU Downtown Historic Post Office, Tovrea Castle, Encanto Park Clubhouse, and the Arizona Biltmore Resort.
